In the prelab analysis, it was found that not much of the reads were actually put into contigs. Only 2.4% were assembled into contigs, but this is way less than how much was assembled into contigs in the other biome. When looking at bins, 95.8% were sorted into bins. What I was wondering about was the reason for the linear contigs here compared to more circular contigs in the other genome.
The CPT gene is needed for energy metabolism, and it is important in situations of illness, prolonged, exercise, etc. These situations involve energy reserves being down and exhaustion of muscles, so CPT is needed. I’m wondering which genes work in tandem with CPT for its functions.
