What was your favorite part about doing the research project and why?
My favorite part about doing this research project was learning how to use phyloseq to create the graphs for my project. I remember really struggling with coding in high school, but the C-MOOR tutorials made learning how to code in phyloseq much more approachable.
What is an example of a challenge that you had to overcome during this research project?
During this research project, I was unable to get DESeq2 to work. I kept getting the same error every time I tried to run the differential abundance analysis. However, I was able to troubleshoot the issue and find a workaround using phyloseq’s built in visualization tools that still allowed me to generate graphs that helped answer my research question.
